COVID-19 RELIEF FUND FAQ
MusiCares is aware of the enormous financial burden on those whose creative practices and incomes are being adversely impacted by COVID-19. We are deeply saddened that it is resulting in loss of work due to venue closures, festival and event cancellations, and travel restrictions.
To help address the concerns of the industry during this time, we have expanded our services to include lost income due to the cancellation of scheduled gigs or performances due to Coronavirus/COVID-19 precautionary measures.

MusiCares’ mission is to support the music community in times of need. With that mission at heart, we are working diligently to secure the additional resources needed to meet the demand of all who have been impacted by this pandemic. The number of applications we have received has been unprecedented. All applications are processed in the order in which they are received and grants funds will be distributed as long as our funding allows.

“My God Is Holy” was inspired by Reverend John Lee Hooker Jr.’s desire to praise God and give Him Glory for his mercy and for His gift of second chances, rebirth, and redemption. The song describes the power of the Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection as well as the resurrection of Reverend John Lee from darkness to the light.
